Samuel, born on Groundhog’s Day in 1975 in Oklahoma, has woven a tapestry of diverse experiences and familial influences into his career at Killian Custom Homes. Growing up with a passion for sports and academics, Samuel had aspirations of playing collegiate ball until a major knee injury redirected his path. This setback coincided with his family’s relocation to Austin, Texas, where he met his wife Angie and became integrated into her welcoming family.
Graduating from college marked the beginning of Samuel’s professional journey with Killian Custom Homes. Here, he has touched every facet of the homebuilding process—from budgeting and permitting to bidding and on-site supervision. His deep roots in the construction and property management sectors, inherited from a grandfather who was a career superintendent and a mother who spent her life in property management, provided Samuel with a foundational knowledge of the industry.
Though initially drawn towards a career in architecture, Samuel instead entered the education sector where he found fulfillment for many years. However, the opportunity to join Killian Custom Homes allowed him to pivot back to his original interests in architecture and construction, leveraging the skills he had honed in education. Grateful for the chance provided by Glenn, Samuel has embraced his role, contributing significantly to the family business and continuing the legacy of commitment and quality that defines Killian Custom Homes.
